Rescue organizations handled nearly 600 calls for help across the region, mainly for property damage but also for downed trees and flooding.

Moist weather were predicted to continue along much of eastern Queensland this next several days as a weather pattern continued to attract humidity against the coast.
Tomorrow was expected to become the most rainy day, with persistent storm activity anticipated across different parts of both areas.

Public health experts warned that there was an increased chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the northern rural areas, especially given the current weather patterns.
